What you will do

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing assembly processes to ensure the efficient production of marine engines, drives, industrial engines, and other products while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Core Responsibilities:

· Create & maintain work instructions

· Train employees on new equipment & processes

· Create and maintain accurate process layouts using CAD software

· Create, maintain, and improve processes, tooling, & equipment

· Identify & manage capital projects from inception to completion including creating business cases, cost estimations, project timelines, RFQ, and other actions related to project management

· Provide support to the various other departments within the organization

· Assist with creating & troubleshooting routings and BOMs for new and existing products

· Own your own growth by creating your development plan to expand your knowledge and skillset

Utilize the Volvo Production System framework to:

Do your job, improve your job, develop yourself, and develop your team

Drive continuous improvement throughout the organization including creating, leading and participating in kaizen activities

Follow all environmental guidelines and regulations to ensure compliance with Volvo requirements and other legal obligations

Travel: Occasional domestic & international travel may be required.

Who are you?

Skills and Knowledge Required:

· Basic computer skills for Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

· Effective English written and verbal communication skills which include being concise, clear, respectful, and actively listening to individuals with various backgrounds

· Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills

· Accountability: Take the lead in getting the job done and accept responsibility for actions, performance, and personal improvements

· Strong mechanical aptitude

· Basic hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC knowledge

· Ability to interpret drawings & basic GD&T understanding

Education and Experience:

B.S. Degree in an Engineering field or equivalent education & experience required

5+ Manufacturing Engineering experience preferred
