Wells Fargo Capital Finance (WFCF) is one of the top lead arrangers of asset-based loans in the U.S. with a large and diversified portfolio of close to 2,400 customers and more than $33 billion in loans outstanding. WFCF offers traditional asset-based financing, specialized senior secured financing, accounts receivable financing, purchase order financing, and supply chain financing to a wide range of companies throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

The Commercial Services Trade Capital Group (TC) Relationship Manager is responsible for the credit and administration of a diversified portfolio of TC clients including :

  • Obtains, prepares and analyzes financial and credit data as directed related to clients and their collateral, performs financial and credit analysis as directed of client financial statements, business plans and financial forecasts.
  • Works closely with others to close new business transactions and facilitates the onboarding of new clients.
  • Assisting with the development, growth and maintenance of portfolio client relationships; actively working with other Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers and senior management both within TC and other Wells Fargo LOBs in executing/structuring transactions within portfolio.
  • Must fully comply at all times with Wells Fargo policy and procedures in the reporting, approving and managing accounts in the portfolio, including without limitation daily client collateral monitoring, funding requests, risk rating monitoring and financial analysis. 
  • Assisting with the preparation and presentation of client updates at periodic portfolio reviews. 
  • Researches, prepare and disseminates as directed reports on specific industries and portfolio companies through ongoing review of relevant articles in key periodicals and websites. 
  • Completes various compliance-related activities as required by WF Bank and regulatory bodies.
  • Works as directed with legal counsel to generate needed legal documentation

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements

Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of account relationship experience, credit management experience, or a combination of both

Desired Qualifications
  • Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of accounts receivable, factoring, or asset-based lending
  • Knowledge and understanding of asset based lending or commercial lending
  • Knowledge and understanding of middle market commercial banking
  • Knowledge and understanding of middle market corporate finance
  • Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong credit underwriting skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in business, management, accounting, finance or economics
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of middle market corporate finance
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Solid problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of LUCAS system preferred
  • Knowledge of Choice system a plus
  • Basic understanding of credit insurance policies including general policy terms, monitoring credit limits and claim filing procedures
