This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the execution of group bookings, special events, and caterings.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

Work with clients to understand needs and coordinate and develop program details; collaborate with operating departments to create special activities, menus, services, set-ups, AV, etc.*

Conduct planning visits with clients via in person and/or by phone. Anticipate group needs,*

Produce and maintain accounts in Amadeus; Prepare comprehensive group resumes. Outlining details of functions on banquet event orders and floor plans.*

Review group programs turned over by the sales team for opportunities to up-sell food and beverage, AV, room rental, etc*
-
Coordinate the collective efforts of all departments involved in the execution of the event; Monitoring financial performance of group events*

Chair service meetings; Participates in the Manager on Duty program.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of related experience
-
Industry Experience - Hospitality/Tourism
-
Bachelor’s degree - Hospitality Management
-
Relevant work experience can be substituted for education - 6 years
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-
Proven employee/guest relations, communication, problem solving, and organization skills.
-
Keyboarding skills and PC familiarity.
-
Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
-
The ability to interact in a friendly yet unobtrusive manner with all guests and instill such virtue in staff.
