MITER Brands is seeking a Meeting and Events Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of internal and external company events, such as charitable events, sponsorship events, and high-impact company gatherings. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex events, working with external vendors such as travel agencies and destination management companies, and delivering exceptional experiences that leave lasting impressions on attendees.
Responsibilities
- Event Planning & Execution: Manage end-to-end planning and execution of large sales meetings, customer events, charitable events, and sponsorship events, including, but not limited to, RFP development, site selection, marketing and promotions, event staffing and coordination, and post-event reporting.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external agencies, venues, and other service providers to ensure seamless logistics. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with key vendors.
- Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and maintain event budgets, ensuring all events are delivered on time and within financial constraints. Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising the event experience.
- Experiential Design: Create memorable, immersive, and engaging event experiences for attendees. Focus on elements that reinforce key messages and themes, ensuring that every event is unique and impactful.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, communications, and the MITER Foundation, to align event objectives with broader company initiatives and strategies.
- Travel Coordination: Oversee travel logistics for attendees, coordinating with travel agencies to arrange transportation, accommodations, and itineraries for large-scale events.
- On-Site Event Management: Lead on-site execution, ensuring smooth operation of all event activities, including registration, audiovisual, catering, and event flow. Handle any issues that arise promptly and professionally.
- Post-Event Evaluation: Collect feedback, measure success against established KPIs, and present post-event reports to key stakeholders. Make recommendations for improvements to future events based on lessons learned.

- Have the skills to be proficient in Cvent event management software. Prior experience a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in corporate event planning and management
- Proven experience managing large-scale, complex events with multiple stakeholders
- Budget management experience, with a focus on delivering events on time and within budget.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time, including overnight and weekend travel as required.
