Lycoming County Children and Youth Services (CYS) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Fiscal Technician. This position performs clerical-accounting work, giving you the opportunity to utilize your extensive knowledge in the application of bookkeeping principles and practices. In this role of Fiscal Technician, you will be assigned to the Joinder Fiscal Unit of the Lycoming-Clinton Joinder, which serves the Lycoming-Clinton MH/ID Program, Lycoming Children and Youth Services and Lycoming-Clinton HealthChoices. This position works in conjunction with the Joinder Accountant. You will be responsible for the Joinder’s accounts payable process, to include the review, input, posting and payment of all invoices. This professional organizes and prepares weekly check-runs, prepares payroll cash transfer invoices, and accurately tracks weekly preparation/reconcilement of inter-company billing.

Other essential duties to include but not limited to:

  • Compile, analyze and process monthly expense vouchers bi-weekly
  • Review all monthly benefit bills with the HR Assistant for accuracy
  • Compile, analyze and explain AP information as requested by the auditors during the annual audit
  • Update fiscal policies/procedures and lists that are key to this position


Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Fiscal Assistant or three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or
  • One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
