Description As a National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (Large Banks Compliance) with emphasis in Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), you will serve as a national resource providing technical advice and support for CRA activities.

Large Bank Supervision
Various LBS/OCC Cities (preferred locations) - Alternate Location option available and Relocation Incentive for select locations available (see Additional Information section).As a National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (Large Banks Compliance) with emphasis in CRA, you will:
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor compliance/Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) supervisory activities.
  • Assess risk, develop supervisory strategies, determine scope of supervisory activities, monitor and evaluate work of assisting personnel during supervisory activities, prepare reports of activities, and develop responses to address risks.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of compliance/CRA functions, identify systemic compliance risks and trends and recommend changes in examination policy and procedures.
  • Prepare highly advanced and sophisticated communications to senior bank management in order to foster positive changes within the banks.
  • Maintain effective communication internally within the OCC and/or external to the OCC and ensure that appropriate coordination and follow-up activities take place.
  • Provide guidance and training to other examiners, including staff assigned to bank supervision activities of responsibility.

You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement:

You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-V band level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include:

  • Leading the examining or auditing of a financial institution's Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) activities and assessing compliance with applicable CRA banking laws and regulations OR
  • Serving as an advisor or consultant to senior management on CRA issues, risks and/or risk mitigation in a financial institution or regulatory agency.

The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

Salary114,761.00 - 213,240.00 Annual
