A ZooAmerica Admissions Supervisor maintains accountability for assigned location(s), including ZooAmerica Admissions and Guest Services Counter, Bridge Access Points, and Group Entrance Gate. This position works in a team environment, including with many departments within Hersheypark and ZooAmerica.

Conduct Guest Experience shift meetings with all employees and supervisors, including employees from Animal Care, Education, Security, and Retail, on an as needed basis

Maintain a clean work area, including organizing the Guest Services work-space, preparing and sweeping all workstations, walkways/pathways, restrooms, recycling areas, and removal of trash and recycling bins when necessary.

Ensure employees are trained at their assigned location and have proper documentation

Adhere to Guest Experience standard operating procedures and maintain proficiency in Admissions, Guest Services, Group Sales (pre-purchased and walk-up sales), facilitation of check in for VIP Tours and Birthday Parties, Phone and Radio Etiquette, relay Animal and Zoo-related information

Communicate with supervisor(s) regarding staffing needs and coordinate a team member’s break schedule to ensure compliance with child labor laws

Maintain, complete, and audit proper documentation, including opening/closing checklists, training, Group Sales ticket distributions, cashier reconciliation reports, vault reconciliation and complete change requests, update communication book, track inventory

Conduct the required amount of Internal Audits

Coach employees and administer disciplinary action when necessary

Maintain close working relationship with Animal Care and Education teams, and act as a department liaison to Security and Retail

Provide our guests with exceptional guest service, resolve in-person guest inquiries in a timely manner (including collaborating with other departments when needed), and adhere to department and company service expectations

Initiate positive guest interactions and maintain a thorough working knowledge of ZooAmerica and Hersheypark guest programs and upsell applicable programs

Perform other duties as assigned

Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications

Must be comfortable with the use of electronic equipment and digital ticketing software

Must have the ability to effectively communicate nonverbally, verbally, and written, including delivering instructions/directions, and speaking clearly into radios and phones

Must have the ability to remain alert and vigilant at all times

Must be able to successfully attend and complete all department training requirements

Physical requirements include standing for periods up to five (5) hours at a time, walking, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting up to twenty (20) pounds without assistance

Must be able to work in a combination of indoor and outdoor weather conditions. Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather.
