The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis plays a crucial role in steering and managing the budget strategy and planning processes. This includes delivering reports and analyses related to financial activities and special projects, creating forecasts and projections, establishing and enforcing internal controls, and working in close partnership with senior leadership in HE&R. Furthermore, the Director is tasked with fostering communication, collaboration, consistency, standardization, and the exchange of best practices between the Entertainment Complex and the Resorts Group. This role also involves overseeing the implementation of new technologies and ensuring the smooth integration of new properties. Additionally, the Director will lead and develop a team of full-time analysts.

Job Functions (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position):

  • Participate in the development of the property’s plans and programs. Aggregate, review and analyze financial and statistical data to provide information and decision support to management. Partner with management in identifying opportunities for revenue growth, cost reduction, and improvement of performance metrics.*

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of fundamental financial planning and analysis, such as budgeting, expense monitoring, forecasting, report generation, and other tasks.*

  • Provide presentation materials to the Senior Leadership Team for routine financial updates.*

  • Review the divisional budgets and present them to the Senior Leadership Team for approval.*

  • Review and analyze contracts and operational initiatives.*

  • Provide objective assumptions and detail to assist in the development of pro formas for new initiatives and capital investments.*

  • Conduct data analyses, reporting, and the preparation of forecast projections as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual budget tracking and variance analyses.*

  • Review and monitor operational activity for trends and/or anomalies.*

  • Drive the optimization efficiency of finance procedures and processes through automation, standardization and documentation.*

  • Coordinate with Operational partners to ensure the smooth transition of technology advancements as well as the integration of new properties. *

  • Coach and develop a team of financial professionals, providing the support necessary to achieve goals at expected standards and drive system knowledge to enhance the ease of preparation, analysis and presentation of deliverables.*

  • Assist with other projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience.

  • Minimum of 6 years of supervisory experience.

  • 18 years of age or older.

  • Must have a valid Driver's License.

  • Bachelor’s degree - Business Administration, Finance, Hospitality Management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive knowledge/experience working with advanced functions of Excel and Google Sheets, as well as other Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.
