The Budget Analyst 1 is a key liaison between Allegheny County, DHS, and service providers. You will gather crucial fiscal and non-fiscal data, manage budget functions, ensure accurate payments to DHS Contractors and Providers, and maintain communication channels. Work involves learning and maintaining knowledge of various systems including the Master Provider Enterprise Repository (MPER), OnBase, Key Information Demographics System (KIDS), Client Information Payment System (CIPS), JDEdwards, and other computer-based applications to perform job functions.

Tasks performed in this role include processing invoices, handling contract setups and modifications, and conducting re-budgets as necessary. Effective communication with providers and other colleagues is essential throughout the contracting process to guarantee transparency and precision, supporting efficient financial operations and timely payment processing for DHS providers. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience in technical budget administration work; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or 
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Allegheny County. If no eligible candidates who live within Allegheny County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
