As a part of the Health and Human Services (HHS) IT Delivery Center, you will have the opportunity to assist with providing end-to-end IT services to all staff in the Department of Human Services (DHS), the Department of Health (DOH), the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP), and the Pennsylvania Department of Aging (PDA).
Are you interested in providing supervision and leadership to IT field staff supporting the fast paced environment of state hospitals. This working supervisor oversees crucial on-site IT support for the Department of Human Services (DHS), Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse (OMHSAS).
In this role you will be the working supervisor for the field support unit responsible for providing onsite (IT) support to state hospital operations across the HHS IT Delivery Center. This team also provides secondary support to staff who work in state office buildings, developmental programs facilities, and juvenile justice centers county assistance offices, and all other office space located outside of the Harrisburg area. As such, the incumbent is responsible for the planning, delivery, timeliness, and quality of the service.
The scope of this service includes desktop client devices, mobile tablet devices, operating systems, office productivity applications, enterprise applications, third party software, email access, Internet and Intranet connectivity, network connections, remote VPN connections, smart phones, mobile apps, wireless technology, land line telephone systems, printing devices, network cabling, and all peripheral devices. Installation, setup, configuration, support, and documentation for each category of components is also required of this service. Mission critical applications such as Electronic Health Record (EHR), pharmaceutical, clinical, census, and dietary require twenty-four-hour operational availability. Therefore, the incumbent must ensure operations and provide support as needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours range from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Candidate may decide schedule), Monday - Friday. Lunch period will be based on selected work schedule (30 minute/1 hour lunch).
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. You must report into the office one day per month at a minimum. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Travel and Overtime are required as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Information Technology Generalist 2, Applications Developer 2, Database Analyst, Information Security Specialist 1, or Network Specialist 2; or
- Five years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services; or
- Three years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field; or
- One year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
