Lead Sales Associate - The Hotel Hershey

This position is responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and courteous service to all guests of The Shops at The Hotel Hershey.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Conduct business with guests with a smile, enthusiasm, and professionalism

• Enter sales into the POS system*

• Handle cash, credit card, and room charge transactions*

• Assist the Manager and Supervisors with store opening and closing procedures*

• Exhibit thorough product knowledge and upselling techniques to guests*

• Answer guest inquiries, both in person and over the phone, in a professional and timely manner*

• Inspecting merchandise to ensure quality prior to sale*

• Assisting in inventory counts and shrink prevention*

• Following safety and cleanliness standards

• Communicating special requests to the Manager

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be 16 years of age or older.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to interact with guests with friendliness and professionalism.

• Ability to handle cash transactions and learn point-of-sale systems.

• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

• Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image representative of the property image.

• Flexibility to work in all shops within the Retail Department at The Hotel Hershey including Signatures, HH Collections, Chic Boutique, and Shine is beneficial.

Job Demands:

• Physical requirements include standing at least 95% of the shift, communicating clearly, walking, bending, and pushing and lifting up to 35 pounds.

• Schedule will rotate to cover hours of operation between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., including weekends and holidays.
