The Opportunity
You will be the primary subject matter expert for automation and building controls for the building assigned to, as well as other network buildings when needed. You will create a primary POC or gatekeeper for automation control, building control, materials handling equipment (MHE) system improvements, including MHE automation software upgrades, and identify, plan and manage home building automation improvements and upgrades.
You will work onsite and report to the Facilities Manager.

Your Impact
- Provide technical support to fulfillment center operations and management.
- Provide for continuous improvement of MHE operations through the design, selection and installation of new equipment and systems and the modification of existing equipment and systems.
- Provide support to maintenance operations.
- Create and/or maintain current documentation of equipment and systems.
- Primary POC for MHE software updates.
- Manage and coordinate MHE software deployments in collaboration with Change Manager(s).
- Management of MHE and Controls Servers and networking equipment. Will collaborate with corporate network engineering for support.
- Provide for the continuous improvement of processes, procedures, and equipment.
- Provide support to engineering and operations on design of MHE automated systems including evaluation and testing criteria.
- Design and deploy machine and gauge control systems; integrated automation including PLC and VFD controls; HMI systems; and data collection systems, SQL / MySql, Oracle.
- Research and develop cost savings initiatives through use of automation and machine controls.
- May provide complete project management for new machine and system modifications, installations and upgrades.
- Provide training for plant personnel in operation of the HMI and SCADA equipment.
- Participate on the FC change management team(s).
What You Bring
- Bachelor's or University Degree, or equivalent work experience
- 5 years of experience PLC troubleshooting and programming of Allen Bradley RS Logix 500/5000, Siemens. SQL 2008/2012 database mining and queries.
- 5 years of experience commissioning and troubleshooting machine/ process controls
- Design, deployment, and testing experience with Allen Bradley controls.
- Fluent in editing and developing PLC programs.
- Project management skills.
- Understand and use of root cause analysis.
