As a Human Resource Analyst 3, you will focus on overseeing the day-to-day human resource operations at the Hollidaysburg Veterans’ Home. You can expect to supervise staff performing human resource functions including employee relations, workforce support, and timekeeping. In this position, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with DMVA headquarters and the Governor's Office of Administration to provide advice and guidance to facility staff on fair and consistent application of policies and collective bargaining agreements. 


By serving as a liaison between employees and management, you will address concerns, improve communications, and enhance overall employee satisfaction. Additionally, you will be responsible for mentoring and coaching the staff, as well as providing one-on-one coaching sessions to employees, offering guidance on career development, goal setting, and skills enhancement.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Human Resource Analyst 2 (Commonwealth title); or
  • Three years of analytical experience that includes two years of professional human resource experience, and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

 

Other Requirements:

  • This position requires one or more years of full-time professional Human Resource experience working in a healthcare setting.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

 

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
