WHAT WILL YOU DO
The Cycle Counter is responsible for accurately counting and recording inventory levels to ensure data integrity within the warehouse. This role plays a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy by performing daily cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and assisting in the root cause analysis of inventory variances. The Cycle Counter will work closely with the Inventory Control Specialist to maintain inventory accuracy and improve processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY
- Daily Cycle Counts: Perform scheduled cycle counts of inventory items in designated areas to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Discrepancy Investigation: Identify and research any discrepancies found during cycle counts. Communicate findings to the Inventory Control Specialist and assist in determining root causes.
- Inventory Adjustment: Make necessary adjustments to inventory levels within the system upon approval and verification from the Inventory Control Specialist.
- Inventory Accuracy: Work to maintain inventory accuracy by following standard operating procedures, counting guidelines, and adhering to best practices.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of cycle count results, discrepancies, and adjustments for reporting purposes. Compile data and provide feedback on recurring issues to the Inventory Control Specialist.
- Process Improvement: Assist in identifying areas for process improvement to enhance inventory accuracy and reduce discrepancies. Provide input and feedback on current practices and potential enhancements.
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES MUST
- Have Excellent Communication skills
- Experienced and Knowledgeable working within welding/production lines
- Problem solving skills
- Punctuality and time management skills
- Must be process driven and know how to take a systematic approach to the job.
- Forklift experience
- Be able to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis and be able to work in a standing, bending, and/or stretching position
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma/equivalent or higher education
