The Managing Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will collaborate closely with other senior leaders across the organization to translate business strategy into meaningful financial performance metrics and assist in tracking results against those metrics. This position drives the key financial planning processes for the Company, and leads the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting, and variance analysis. This role, as a senior organizational leader and change agent, plays a critical part in the Company’s efforts to build a world-class finance function. This position partners across the business to ensure processes are running efficiently and financial results are communicated effectively. The Managing Director of FP&A will assist senior management in preparing presentations to the Executive Committee and the Board, capital investment analysis, industry comparisons, new business analysis, and other projects as requested. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, adept at leveraging complex financial data, and innovative in assessing revenue growth scenarios while balancing risk and return.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

  • Implement a Business Intelligence tool using modern, multi-dimensional software to advance the usage and functionality of the company’s analysis, planning, and reporting resources.

  • Recommend and drive analytics process improvements and governance; lead input to improve the form, effectiveness, and controls for analysis, forecasting, and reporting.

  • Develop opportunities for automated analytics, forecasting, and modeling. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to drive informed decision-making.

  • Provide strategic insight and recommendations to the business on its financial performance, focusing on key drivers including profitability models, trends, and analytical needs to help meet the company's long-term growth plans.

  • Participate actively in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close to provide timely analytical and trend reporting to executive management. Summarize current financial positions and forecasts, along with recommendations.

  • Lead and oversee strategic and annual business plans, forecast updates, predictive analytics, internal reporting, and performance management against projections. Optimize expense management and ensure operational costs are appropriately controlled.

  • Leverage data-driven insights by utilizing advanced analytics and financial modeling to support decision-making, ensuring data integrity and accuracy in forecasting and planning.

  • Enhance reporting and visualization by utilizing data visualization tools to create compelling financial presentations for the Board of Directors and senior leadership. Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations.

  • Support and partner with the Treasury function’s forecasting and management of Company cash flow, optimal utilization of its balance sheet, and reducing operational and financial risk. Find, evaluate, and report on risks and opportunities to the company’s goals and commitments.

  • Design and present comprehensive financial models and sensitivity analyses to support investment analysis and Company initiatives (IRRs, NPVs, Payback Period). Collaborate with business leaders to develop supporting project assumptions. Track progress of projects and perform post-mortem analysis.

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of 2–4 direct reports and approximately 10 indirect reports with focus on continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • Minimum 12 years of relevant financial modeling, analysis, and reporting experience with at least 5 years of supervisory, forecasting, and budgeting experience.

  • Experience leading change management, integration, and transformation of systems and processes.

  • Extensive experience in developing and reporting business performance metrics, strategic planning, and financial systems.

  • CPA/MBA, Entertainment/Hospitality experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated track record of success and increased responsibilities.

  • Experience and understanding of the capabilities and limitations of ERP systems and reporting software.

  • Strong leadership skills with a self-motivated, "roll-up-your-sleeves" mentality.

  • Excellent technical and analytical skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines, and be effective and decisive under pressure.

  • Ability to adapt and work well in a fast-paced, results-oriented and rapidly changing environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Able to build strong working partnerships (including operations management) along with the ability to listen, understand and influence.

  • Possess the confidence and presence to interact and present to senior management and executive levels.

  • Ability to apply Business Intelligence and Data Analytics to forecast and analyze data/trends.

  • Advanced in Google Suite and Microsoft tools (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
