As a Corrections Facility Maintenance Manager 3, you will provide technical and administrative assistance to facility maintenance managers and institutional staff. You will design and evaluate perimeter intrusion detection systems, closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems, and telecommunications systems. You will also advise staff in the implementation of all building, electronics, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical maintenance by providing guidance and support that ensures work adheres to technical trade standards, codes, and policy. This role requires effective communication and strong organizational skills to advise executive staff on appropriate applications and emerging security technologies while managing project schedules and conducting field visits. In addition, you will serve as the project manager for preliminary planning meetings, develop project budgets, and assess the vulnerability of security systems.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Work Location: This position will be based out of 1920 Technology Parkway in Mechanicsburg, PA. Consideration will be given to an alternative SCI location if requested and available.
  • This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience as a Facility Maintenance Manager 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years as a Facility Maintenance Manager 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Three years of experience as a Utilities Supervisor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
  • Seven years of experience in the construction, maintenance or repair of buildings; or the operation, maintenance and repair of utility services equipment, including four years in a managerial or supervisory capacity; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
     

Other Requirements:

  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
