The Opportunity
Under the direction of the Sr. Manager of Fashion and Talent Operations, you will hire and supervise staff, and provide guidance and direction related to host & product branding, training and motivation to develop staff skills. You willanage direct reports, and provide operational oversight, as well as lead all the training/coaching/development initiatives for the department. You will provide operational directive for workflow direction, schedule and coordinate the daily activities of the stylists and Talent Coordinators and disseminate and communicate information to staff concerning the live show and overall QVC Group brand image during weekly 1:1’s and tape reviews.
Your Impact
- Interviews, hires, terminate, evaluate and counsel Fashion Styling Lead personnel in accordance with all applicable policies and procedures. Reviews performance and provide feedback in a timely manner.
- Conduct one-on-one meetings with Fashion Styling Leads to discuss problems/issues, upcoming events, tape reviews and other related activities.
- Participate in tape reviews, utilizing host blueprints and participate / facilitate in stylist feedback & coaching during one on ones.
- Complete interviews, employees & request security and system access, establish training needs and opportunities, devise training scheduling, documentation, and follow up for newly hired & upgraded stylists.
- Conduct fittings on new models and refit current models, based on needs, with apparel from various brands.
- Select appropriate model size range for each model based on intended QVC fit.
- Partner with the merchandising team, category production, and new vendors/designers to create brand styling decks that mesh their brand and our QVC customer. These decks are to be used across all platforms (Live, AOM, Lifestyle).
- Interpret style guides and creative decks to create these comprehensive brand specific styling decks that marry back to the QVC brand, while differentiating person style from brand.
- Attend TSV intake meetings to create custom styling direction for apparel, jewelry, and accessory TSVs to be used for Live model styling.
- Responsible for placing TSV sample requests through product central and maintaining consistent communication to ensure needed product is available.
- Select appropriate support items to build full lifestyle looks for TSV presentations.
- Monitor TSV on the day and provide consistent communication with the stylists to implement any necessary changes.
- Influence and provide relevant styling direction to our guest community across all categories, specifically during larger event days.
- Assist in Model Casting & Scheduling-selection of model types, fit, look, age, ethnicity, diversity
- Talent Scheduling team official backup for the Sr. Manager of Fashion and Talent Operations. As the backup the Fashion Styling Manager is responsible for thinking independently and making real-time decisions that directly affect the live show.
- Managing the weekly model schedule. Accountable for understanding the QVC Group brand and upholding our values when casting / filling shows with model replacements.
What You Bring
Education: Bachelor of Arts or Science in Fashion Styling, Design or related field and/or equivalent business-related experience
Experience: 8+ years of Fashion Styling experience, 2+ years of supervisory experience in fashion styling
