PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsible for the production, augmentation, and coordination of 3D object-oriented models for field utilization.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
- Work individually, or with teams, developing & coordinating 3D object-oriented models.
- Manage and implement BIM processes and standards in collaboration with project teams.
- Develop project specific interdisciplinary coordination protocols.
- Use collaboration software to integrate models from designers, consultants, and contractors.
- Perform model-based coordination efforts and facilitate trade coordination meetings.
- Assist project staff to ensure coordinated work will meet or exceed quality standards.
- Document and communicate coordination issues with project teams (i.e. RFIs, etc.).
- Create, modify, and maintain visual schedules throughout the course of a project.
- Assist project teams with model-based quantity takeoffs using appropriate software.
- Communicate and provide support for business development needs as it relates to BIM.
- Train project management and field personnel to navigate and operate BIM software.
- Incorporate safety and quality methodology and logistics information into BIM efforts.
- Develop library of construction related content that can be integrated into BIM projects.
- Develop photorealistic renderings and animations directly from models.
- Assist in the development of the company's BIM related goals, initiatives, and standards.
- Develop new ways to utilize model-based information in various phases of projects.
- Obtain/maintain remote pilot certification to conduct company UAS operations.
- Obtain/maintain Level 1 certification in Building Inspections thermography.
- Research, development and evaluation of potential technologies.
- Continue expansion of knowledge in the construction and technology sectors.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education and experience requirements include: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field. Minimum of three (3) years experience in the construction industry. Self-motivated individual with ability to work in a highly collaborative environment. Experience with industry leading model authoring and collaboration software. Knowledge of design development with an ability to interpret design documentation.
