As a second shift position Production Test Technician, you'll learn how to perform operational tests to determine product acceptability and quality. You'll work on a wide variety of complex electronic developmental and production components, subassemblies and systems. You'll follow test specifications, standard test procedures and general written or verbal instructions. The cool part of this role: you conduct those activities in an anechoic test chamber. This is where we put our products through chamber-based techniques designed to simulate the external elements they must withstand in customer use. On the job and formal training will be provided.

This will be a second shift position, after training. This position is eligible for a 10% shift differential when on 2nd shift
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
- The Antenna Test Technician will perform all antenna, material and environmental testing of antennas to meet testing requirements utilizing a planar near field range, anechoic chamber and environmental test chamber.
- The candidate will be expected to support the testing of production assets. This may include the authoring of processes such as acceptance testing plans, standard operating procedures and reporting of potential improvements.
- The candidate will operate range instrumentation systems include PNA and PNA-X. Manufacturers/Software will include Orbit F/R 959 suite and NSI nearfield systems. Candidate must be able to configure an anechoic test chamber, set up the instrumentation, calibrate the range acquisition system and collect all required parameters. The candidate will evaluate range instrumentation and perform link budget analysis.
- Candidate will be responsible to support programs with system test development which includes software and hardware.
- Support engineering tasks related to the repair, fabrication, assembly, production, installation and testing of antennas and electronic hardware and systems.
- Utilize test manuals, test procedures and performance specifications to perform tests.
- Maintain equipment associated with operating test facility to include insuring equipment is calibrated and maintains adequate inventory of parts to supports maintenance and testing requirements.
- Setup antenna test sequences and interpret test data for validity.
- Generate test reports based on data obtained; provide interpretations of test results identifying areas of concern regarding system performance.
- Make recommendations to improve performance based on past testing on similar systems.
- Maintain electronic records library of test result data on completed customer testing tasks.
QualificationsMINIMUM:
- HS Diploma or GED and minimum two (2) years' of experience in testing within a manufacturing environment
- Proficient or willing to learn MATLAB
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Must be able to work second shift.
PREFERRED:
- Associate's or Technical Certification strongly preferred
- 4+ years' experience strongly preferred
- Active Security Clearance
- Working knowledge of electromagnetics
- Experience in antenna technologies
- Understanding Orbit F/R software
- Work experience with a signal generator
- Experience of tackling key technical problems or innovative designs independently
- Proactive and self-motivated.
- Curiosity and sensitivity for science, technology and engineering are essential
Hourly Range: $26.91 - $37.90 hourly (Lansdale, PA)
Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
