Assistant Director of Educator Effectiveness and Teacher Evaluation


Position Summary:

Working from one of our Family Service Centers, located in Pennsylvania, the Assistant Director of Educator Effectiveness will ensure the continuity of CCA goals and vision as it pertains to the students and teacher of CCA and provide more direct collaboration with both staff and families. The Assistant Director of Educator Effectiveness coordinates the school wide (grades K-12, including special education, English Learners, and other professional staff roles) launch educator effectiveness models, coordinates the required training of staff and provides a framework for development of an administrative and support services staff evaluation plan school wide.


Responsibilities:

  • Manages, coordinates and implements school wide implementation of (grades K-12, including special education, English Learners, and other professional staff roles) the PA Educator Effectiveness and Act 13 requirements by PDE.
  • Oversees the overall implementation of the system and creates solutions for implementation issues.
  • Develops and maintains systems to ensure that administrators and educators are fully informed of the educator evaluation system and receive ongoing information, training and support.
  • Oversees and coordinates professional development for the framework generally, and directs the system design for teachers, evaluators and school staff with the professional development division of the school.
  • Works closely with school administrators in implementing the system and addressing challenges, including time and scheduling demands to accomplish the necessary observations.
  • Oversees electronic and paper communication systems to support implementation.
  • Supervises and oversees implementation of technical support and software tools necessary for the implementation of the framework.
  • Revises forms and systems, in collaboration with other school stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain attribution rosters per PVAAS and Act 13 requirements per PDE.
  • Develops and presents reports on the progress of the teacher evaluation system to internal and external parties with guidance from the administration and the committee.
  • Keeps abreast of current research and models across the country relevant to the evaluation processes.
  • Oversees the development and implementation of an ongoing review of the effectiveness of the teacher evaluation system.
  • Coordinates with the Human Resources team to ensure Frontline system is maintained and accurate.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Education or Related Field
  • Special Education Supervisor Certification or Principal Certification
  • Valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate(s) required
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Knowledge of research-based interventions
  • Customer-focused approach.
  • High degree of flexibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands:
This is largely a sedentary role. Requires the ability to lift, squat, sit, bend or stand as necessary.? Ability to travel to other sites/locations as needed.
