Carnegie Mellon University’s Cyert Center for Early Education (CCEE) is searching for a Business Coordinator to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by assisting CCEE management with daily operational activities within the department, including workflow and operational initiatives, enrollment support, and Cyert Center tuition processing.
Core responsibilities include:
- Assisting and supporting managers in day-to-day coordination and management of assigned business operational activities.
- Providing enrollment support, including processing of enrollment deposits and other cash receipts, processing of payroll deduction forms or coordination of invoicing with the CMU Accounts Receivable department.
- Overseeing tuition processing and collection for the Cyert Center, including setup and monitoring of tuition payments, monitoring and submission of tuition payroll deductions, invoices, and receipts
- Supporting the ordering and payment of any Cyert Center purchases by invoice or use of the procurement card system by Cyert Center staff.
- Support the CCEE leadership team in the development and ongoing monitoring or adjustment of budgets and the review of associated expenses.
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience (Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance preferred)
- 1-3 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Business administration or a related field
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Higher education Human Resources experience preferred
- Must pass a pre-employment physical exam (including TB test), as per Department of Human Services childcare certification requirements.

- Sponsorship : Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work for CMU in the United States. Carnegie Mellon University will not sponsor or take over the sponsorship of an employment visa for this opportunity. Carnegie Mellon is not a qualifying employer for the STEM OPT benefit: only the 12-month OPT may be used to work at Carnegie Mellon.
