What you will do
In this position, you will work closely with the VP, Business Control VTNA to provide senior management with all relevant financial information that contributes to an efficient decision-making process for the purpose of planning and business control activities.
- Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Support all Financial Planning & Analysis activities for VTNA
- Preparation of material and various ad-hoc analysis for Business Review Meetings and / Board meetings
- Consolidation of all forecasts and business plans for VTNA; Take active part in the estimate process in preparing estimate material provided to Volvo Trucks
- Prepare deviation analysis and gross income bridges, comparing actual results with prior periods and latest estimate
- Responsible for the Investment Process, including investment decision and payment template
- Collaborate with Business Controllers and other cross functional representatives within the organization to keep abreast of financial and operational matters impacting VTNA’s financial performance. Anticipate any analysis to keep track on early trends affecting the profitability of the Volvo North America
- You will be our Hyperion Essbase and Financial Planning Super User, and will have overall responsibility for managing both of these business systems
- Manage business objects and business intelligence data for the Brand
- Heavy Interface with Industrial business control activities in order to connect the industrial performance within VTNA financial statements
- This role will be responsible for managing a Sr. Financial Analyst
Who are you?
- Critical Competencies
- Thorough knowledge and experience with Oracle Hyperion Essbase, experience with Hyperion Financial Planning a plus
- Working knowledge of SAP or other similar accounting software systems
- Experience with Industrial business control activities is highly recommended
- Experience dealing with multiple currencies and exchange rates preferred
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel and PowerPoint)
- Ability to build effective working relationships and communicate at all levels within the organization
Essential Educational and/or Training Qualifications and Certificates
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting of Finance (CPA or MBA a plus)
- Preferred Experience and Knowledge
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Business Control or Financial Planning is mandatory
- Prior experience with consolidations and financial reporting preferred
- Leadership experience is a plus
