  • Work Hours:  8:00AM - 4:30PM; Monday - Friday; one hour lunch
The AQPS develops regulations and implements strategies for reducing air pollution, in accordance with state and federal statutes, regulations, standards, and policies, including compliance with the federal Clean Air Act and the Pennsylvania Air Pollution Control Act (APCA). The AQPS develops revisions to the state implementation plan (SIP). The AQPS develops and implements programs to control emissions of air pollution, as needed. Tasks will rely on examining existing data and information derived from objective sources. Qualifications:
  • Pennsylvania residency requirement has been waived for this position
  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements - Two years of experience as an Air Quality Specialist; OR one year of experience as an Air Monitoring Program Supervisor; OR three years of professional work in the control and abatement of air pollution and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or an environmental field closely related to Air Quality Management; OR an equivalent combination of experience and/or training.
  • Necessary Special Requirement - Possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver's license

  • Must be able to perform essential job functions
