To qualify for a Lead IT Specialist (SYSADMIN/INFSOEC), your qualifications must include:
- Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) or competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS- 12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Analyzes and isolates problems related to system, storage, network hardware or software to provide technical assistance to customers, OEM representatives and 3rd party provider representatives in resolving problems.
Performs installation and configuration of SAN, Backup, Archive, and NAS products. Also installs, configures and maintains the enterprise SAN, Backup, Archive, and NAS environment and products; researches and tests potential products for functionality and integration success
Evaluates and recommends new systems diagnostic tools and ensures SAN, Backup, Archive, and NAS solutions integrity and availability by monitoring operational metrics. Integrates SAN, Backup, Archive, and NAS products to support various business and technical requirements.
