Description Blair County Children, Youth and Families is looking for an Ongoing Casework Supervisor to be part of their leadership team.

  • Full-time employment (35 hour workweek)
  • Work hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm; Monday - Friday; one hour lunch period
  • Rotate Emergency Duty Supervisor coverage for after-hour calls.
  • Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Blair County.  If no eligible candidates who live within Blair County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
  • Competitive benefits package starts first of the month following 30 calendar days and includes 90% employer-paid PPO health insurance with prescription and vision components, defined benefit pension plan, defined contribution plan, group term life insurance, sick time, and 14 annual paid holidays. Starting salary is $33,750.08 with a 35-hour workweek.
Oversees functions of caseworkers within Ongoing Unit of Blair County Children, Youth & Families (BCCYF), guides or performs decision-making, ensures comprehensive gathering of information and comprehensive ensuing actions, and covers supervised employees' caseloads as warranted.Qualifications:

  • Minimum Experience and Training:  Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major coursework in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; OR any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
