Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Environmental Health & Safety Teams ensure and monitor safety in the workplace. This includes the application and communication of health, safety and hazardous material standards, procedures and practices consistent with TE, environmental and government regulations.

  • 1 – 2 years of EHS, engineering, or mechanic technician experience
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in a shop floor or on-site production area

• Strong MS Excel and Word experience

• Excellent analytical skills

• Must continually seek improvement and effect change in the operating systems

• Ability to communicate effectively through email, instant messaging, and verbal methods

• Ability to work individually and in a team environment

Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to develop multiple solutions to an issue and make valid recommendations for resolution.

What your background should look like:

  • Inspecting tools and equipment safety, machine guarding, PIT/PIV, safety program.
  • Reviewing documents and specifications, JSAs, SWI, TPM, LOTO instructions.
  • Perform Machine Guarding assessment, non-routine tasks assessment and process releases with relevant functions.
  • Inspecting unsafe behaviors, ensure PPE proper wearing, LOTO execution, work permit for high-risk work.
  • Detail record keeping of all findings and daily reporting to EHS team.
  • Utilizing findings from observations to recommend improvement methods.
  • Supporting workplace incidents investigation to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Participation in water quality compliance activities, including: industrial wastewater, storm water
  • Using situational awareness to detect, assess and eliminate the potential hazard, risks from unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
  • Participation in onsite process inspections, monitoring, and drivng corrective actions with relevant functions.
  • Promoting Environmental Health and Safety awareness to employee through various activities.
  • Support and participation in release response reporting and spill response cleanup activities.
  • Participation in the Environmental inspections/facility-assessments.
  • Water quality compliance activities, including: industrial wastewater, storm water.

  • Ensuring proper waste management (Hazardous & non Hazardous) in the shop floor.
  • Facilitating shelter, evacuation, secure-in-place, and other emergency procedures in the plant.
  • Ensuring the maintenance of the internal safety datasheets and follow up the hazardous material management in the shop floor
  • Responsibly using the authority to rectify or Stop any Operation that may put human health and/or safety to risk and/or have an uncontrolled impact on the environment.
  • Any other duties as determined or assignment by the EHS Manager.

  • COMPENSATION
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $63,000 –$94,500 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
