ARe you ready to shaoe the future of cuting-edge technoligies? At CAES, we are at the forefront of innovation in defense, and aerospace. We are seeking a passionate and detail-orientated Manufacturing Engineering Technican to join our team in Lansdale PA.

As a Manufacturing Engineering Techniciasn you will work closely with manufacturing and process engineers to implement and maintain methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Interfaces with the assembly line leaders and assemblers on RCCA due to yield issues and coordinates with engineering the required training and improvements to a process.


Responsibilities

  • Review and audit processes and procedures; develop, organize and maintain work instructions and process instructions.
  • Support training and evaluating of assemblers to documented process procedures.
  • Disposition non-conforming products working closely with Mfg. Eng. to drive a RCCA to ongoing yield issues.
  • Identify assembly fixture requirements, defects, and document trends as well as implements the corrective action.
  • Provides input, process and material data into appropriate data base, evaluates new materials and supplies for product use.
  • Perform testing of electronic parts and materials; maintain, service, repairs manufacturing and process equipment.
  • Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices; maintain a clean and safe workstation.
  • Improve and maintain 6S in your area, make suggestions for improvements.
  • Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activities in own work area as well as events for other areas to enhance cross-functional problem solving.
  • Collaborate in team meetings and activities, including SET team support as appropriate.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Operate and Maintain FDM 3D printer for use in creating prototypes and assembly tooling.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 to 2 years in an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred:

  • Worked with Radio Frequency/Microwave processes in solder and MIC assembly.
  • Detail-oriented with good manual and eye dexterity.
  • Certificate in Electronics Technology.
  • Associate’s degree in Electronic Technology.
  • Technical skills: ability to set up assembly equipment as defined by a documented assembly Procedure; ability to read blueprints, drawings and bills of material.
  • 3D Print Experience utilizing FDM printer.

Salary Range: Manufacturing Engineer Technician I: $20.41hr - $29.62hr; Manufacturing Engineer Technician II: $22.96hr -$33.19hr . Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
