This position serves as a Senior GIS Application Developer, a high-level, technically advanced role within the GIS division of the CEDC. You will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of highly complex and mission-critical GIS applications and systems. These systems serve multiple state agencies in charge of agriculture, the environment, and related responsibilities. You will play a key role in the development of custom GIS solutions that are both standalone and integrated into larger enterprise ecosystems, ensuring that these applications meet business objectives and operational needs.
Work is performed in agile, waterfall, and hybrid development settings and will involve analyzing issues, developing solutions, and implementing effective resolutions while leading and mentoring other developers; ensuring project milestones are met according to schedule, scope, and quality; and fostering interactions stakeholders form business analysts to end-users. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Information Technology Generalist 2, Applications Developer 2, Database Analyst, Information Security Specialist 1, or Network Specialist 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Five years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services; or
- Three years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field; or
- One year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- This particular position also requires two or more years of full-time professional experience developing web applications using JavaScript.
