The Retail Assistant Coach will oversee the operation of assigned locations and lead a team of employees to achieve the department’s goals for the operating season.

Lead by example by actively engaging with guests in order to provide exceptional customer service to enhance their overall experience

Train new and existing team members in each location to ensure they comply with departmental and company policies to deliver exceptional guest service. Provide ongoing training throughout the season.

Assist with identifying outstanding performance, recognizing and rewarding team member behavior that goes above the standard, while also coaching team members that are not meeting expectations

Maintain compliance with Child Labor Laws and ensure that employees are preventing violations by creating break schedules that follow Child Labor Law policies and standards

Open and close locations at the direction of the manager-on-duty and work with the manager-on-duty in lieu of staffing challenges resulting from call-offs or other employee needs.

Manage inventory integrity by completing daily stocking tasks including; checking received orders, creating orders, and other inventory management tasks as needed. Ensure team members are accurately scanning to maintain inventory integrity.

Maintain store layouts in accordance with Area Manager and provided feedback on the product assortment as guests commented on product offerings

Complete walkthroughs of areas of responsibility to identify safety and maintenance-related issues and address these concerns to Manager on Duty and full-time staff to ensure they are remedied. Assist in maintaining appearance standards to ensure location is cleaned.

Flexibility to work in alternate areas or as a front-line team member in support of operational needs

Complete daily operating paperwork to include break schedules, staffing adjustment sheets, and timesheets*

Perform elevated responsibilities like guest returns, price overrides, logging on or off/ point-of-sale systems as well as performing cashier resets at the end of shifts

Must be able to work at least four weekend shifts per month and 32 hours per week Memorial Day through Labor Day, in compliance with Child Labor Laws.

Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be available to work between 7 AM to Midnight, in compliance with Child Labor Laws.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment at locations both indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather situations.

Physical requirements include standing (75-100% of the shift), sitting, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 60 lbs., finger dexterity, and efficient communication.
