Job Overview

  • TE Connectivity's CNC Machinists prepare detailed numerical control programs for use in production on numerical controlled machinery; they run the EDM, including programming, setup and operation. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

    All Machine Set-up operator requirements

  • Must have thorough knowledge of milling and drilling practices, and machine feeds and speeds relative to the working properties of metals and various materials.
  • Make necessary set-ups, adjustments etc. to tools and machines as required, to perform all functions of machine capabilities.
  • Must be able to read all types of measuring devices and other inspection devices and other inspection tools required to perform operation.
  • Must be able to edit “M” and “G” codes as required.
  • Maintain surveillance of operation for dull cutting tools, malfunction of machine etc.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, operation sheets to determine tolerance of machining.
  • Must be able to use a wide variety of measurement instruments to check parts to verify compliance to quality specifications.
  • Able to perform SPC..
  • Maintain proper storage of tooling.
  • Train other employees as needed.
  • Be able to operate in a team environment with work sharing, team problem solving, and team acceptance of responsibility

1st Shift 6 am to 2:30 pm Monday to Friday with Overtime as needed.

This position requires access to information that is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent residents, persons granted asylee status in the U.S., or persons admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.

What your background should look like:

  • One year minimum of Manufacturing work experience as a CNC operator.
  • One year of CNC Lathe and Mill machine operator .
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Clear ITAR regulations
  • Clear Background and Drug screening.

    Training requirements:
  • Must have minimum tools listed: 6” scale, combination square, micrometers, slide calipers, depth micrometer, and feeler gauges.
