We are seeking a Production Team Lead for our Nutek Disposables Company located in McElhattan, PA. This is a 12-hour position on nights (7 pm-7 am) and is responsible for overseeing that all team members are assigned and performing their specific job duties in a safe, competent, efficient, and productive manner. This role will coordinate with the Supervisor, team members, and all support departments to ensure completion of daily tasks and team goals and expectations.
Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
- Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.
- Actively promotes safety and quality with team members.
- Follows necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations/guidelines.
- Monitors and maintains quality standards for the product.
- Ensures that raw materials are available when needed and removed from the production area when not in use.
- Monitors cleanliness in all areas of the plant and directs efforts to maintain excellent housekeeping.
- Assists maintenance personnel with troubleshooting as required.
- Assists with the training of new operators.
- Completes all shift paperwork properly and monitors the completion and accuracy of operator paperwork.
- Ensures team members are working competently and productively.
- Ensures in a timely manner.
- Records appropriate information to enable batch-to-batch traceability.
- Follows instructions of the Supervisor.
- Promptly communicates with supervisor regarding safety, quality, process, or personnel issues.
- Organizes team member assignments prior to start of shift.
- Keeps focus on the production floor and personnel throughout the shift
- Is available at all times to help team members or direct them to the proper support team.
- Assists with minor administrative tasks (i.e. providing input for employee reviews).
- Sets an example for others to follow by exhibiting personal actions, habits and mannerisms that represent company standards.
- Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.
Education and experience requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior manufctioning experience prefered.
- Must be able to communicate well with all team members, supervisors, and other Team Leaders.
- Must exhibit good leadership ability in challenging situations.
