We are seeking an Operations Maintenance Coordinator - Paper for our First Quality Tissue, SE LLC facility located in Anderson, SC. Operations Maintenance Coordinators are responsible for safely executing warehouse tasks per policies and procedures to support inventory accuracy, loading, unloading and housekeeping efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Instill safety as a core value. Nothing that we do is so important that it cannot be done safely
  • Be a role model of safe behavior
  • Ensure "tour ready" housekeeping at all times
  • Confront shortfalls in behavior and results immediately
  • Partner with support teams to reach goals & objectives
  • Manage safety work orders to expected completion
  • Act as go to person on equipment related safety issues across the department
  • Instill the FQ Culture as our way of thinking, behaving, communicating, and making decisions
  • Be a role model of FQ Culture
  • Assist in training the Operation/Maintenance teams on how equipment works * Be a resource for training or instruction
  • Work closely with team members to troubleshoot production/equipment issues
  • Assist Project Engineering on projects for the business unit
  • Mentor Maintenance Lead through the operation process
  • Liaison between operations and maintenance
  • Instill quality as a core value with both, equipment repairs and product quality
  • Assist the Operation Team in resolving quality issues whether it be equipment or process
  • Assist business unit leader, Engineer and leads in troubleshooting production issues
  • Address day to day maintenance activities to ensure proper repair is done. This also includes assisting/arranging LOTO for repairs that can be done OTR
  • Own of the WO Approval and manage backlog
  • Attend the Planning meeting and Scheduling meeting to ensure WO's get on the weekly schedule
  • Owner of RWS strategy (spare parts, PMs, operating strategy/limits, MOC, software change request, etc.)
  • Owner of conditioning day schedule and scope
  • Escalate barriers to planning and scheduling timeliness
  • Owner of the weekly and if-down-do work order priority list
  • Manage projects and repairs making sure we get the best value for our money
  • Make major repair decisions with the right people involved
  • Investigate and improve storeroom cost when applicable. Save money on spares by looking at other venders
  • Own/Forecast Repair and Maintenance Budget


  • Qualifications:
  • Advanced knowledge of INFOR or other Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of product specifications, quality specifications, goals, efficiency, scrap and production.
  • SAP and Microsoft Project knowledge preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment. Or Associate Degree in engineering and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing operations or maintenance environment; or/ 7 years’ experience in a manufacturing operations or maintenance environment.
  • Internal candidates preferred to have advanced knowledge of technology and mechanics from completion of Advanced (Leadership, Reliability, and Troubleshooting) Qualifications, or complete activities to be Level 4 Technician (Project Work, Leadership, and/or Specialty Skill)
