The Department of Community and Economic Development is looking for an individual who is interested in budget and financial procedures and accounting policies.

Work Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday; 1 hour lunch period
Provides guidance in administering and managing budget and finance functions for DCED to ensure that commitments and expenditures are posted accurately and that invoices are paid timely.
Assists in preparation DCED's Budget, Rebudget, and Legislative Budget Hearing materials.
Implements and executes budget standards; including budget processes, instructions and templates for use in projecting budget, including those relating to major contracts, personnel complement data, and other pertinent information.
Assist Budget Director in managing program staff spending plans and fiscal impacts.
Assist Budget Director with developing strategies for fiscal year spending, accounting, and fiscal year closing activities. Evaluates budget and fiscal policies and procedures for business process improvements.
Reviews internal fiscal policies and control measures and recommends implementation strategies to the Budget Director.
Provides direction and account coding to DCED program Offices for procurement, contract and payroll documents.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements -
one year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 1;
one year of experience in professional fiscal administration, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field;
an equivalent combination of experience and training.
