Description About the Position: Serves as a Maintenance Worker and Facility Maintenance Inspector for the Project Lake Office/Area Office performing a variety of maintenance, operation and inspection duties.Who May Apply: US Citizens

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Maintenance Worker~ without more than normal supervision. Skilled in machinery repair, carpentry, sandblasting, painting, pipefitting, welding, roofing, inspections, concrete maintenance and repair. I operate heavy equipment to include but not limited to overhead cranes, skid steers, dump trucks, aerial lifts, motorboats and forklifts to safely and accurately maneuver supplies and materials to accomplish repairs, replacement or creation of projects. Considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

  • Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
  • Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.

  • Physical Effort: Uses moderate physical effort to stack, load, unload, move and carry tools, equipment and materials ranging in weight from 10 lbs. to 50 lbs. unassisted. Occasionally lifts heavier objects with assistance (e.g., using a hand truck). Required to reach, walk, stand, stoop, bend, knew, crawl and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Occasionally works in cramped quarters, or from ladders, scaffolds or platforms.
  • Working Conditions: Work is performed inside and outside in all types of weather (e.g., heat, cold, rain, wind etc.) and usually in a dirty, dusty and/or greasy environment. Incumbent is exposed to the possibility of broken bones, electrical shocks, burns, cuts, bruises, maimed fingers and scrapes. Occasionally is required to wear uncomfortable protective clothing.
