Description About the Position: This position is located at the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command, New Cumberland, PA and will be filled as a GS-09 target GS-11 OR a GS-11.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. GS-11: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. For the GS-11, specialized experience is experience which has provided a comprehensive knowledge of the general logistics and supply system and a broad knowledge of financial operations to analyze the effectiveness of applicable FMS cases; knowledge of applicable US Army DoD Security Assistance regulations, policies, procedures, and procedures; knowledge of logistical and financial data bases to ensure they accurately reflect actual case execution; a thorough knowledge of the Foreign Military Sales Program and a thorough knowledge of assigned country (s) political, military, and economic capabilities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

GS-09: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. For the GS-09, specialized experience has provided a knowledge of general logistics and supply system; a broad knowledge of financial operations to analyze the effectiveness of applicable Foreign Military Sales cases; and knowledge of US Army and DoD Security Assistance regulations, policies and procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the GS-09 grade (or equivalent) to be eligible for the GS-11 OR 52 weeks of Federal service at the GS-07 grade (or equivalent) to be eligible for the GS-09.
