: Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Work hours are subject to change during the winter and summer seasons. May require travel, overtime and shift work. As a Welder for PennDOT, you will performs a variety of independent skilled trades duties in the repair of parts, structural welding of bridge members, repairs to frames on equipment, hitches, plows, fabricates repair parts and body parts for a variety of applications using oxy-acetylene, electric arc, heli-arc, or other similar types of equipment to join metals; and must be able to mig weld and set up spool gun for aluminum repairs.

An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Possession of a valid Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C Driver's License or equivalent.
- Must have certification to weld on bridge structures or obtain Structural Welding Certification for Bridges within the Probationary Period.
