Work Hours are: Monday thru Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM with a 1 hour lunch

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is proud to be an equal opportunity employer supporting workplace diversity.This position is responsible for project development assistance, oversight, and quality assurance review of highway design/construction plans of an assigned geographic area of the state. Development of major projects is a complex process that requires experience and project development knowledge to ensure timely delivery, quality plans, and adherence to state and federal laws, regulations, requirements, standards and criteria, and policies and procedures. Project Development assistance includes both the environmental and roadway design processes.
In addition to providing the District Offices project development support, this position is also responsible for supporting the development of and revisions to Department policies, standards, criteria and procedures related to highway design.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Four years of professional civil engineering experience which includes three years in the appropriate specialty.
Necessary Special Requirement:
Possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.
Must be able to perform essential job functions
Post Employment Requirement:
If the successful candidate has an out of state Professional Engineer license, he/she will be required to produce a valid Professional Engineer license issued by Pennsylvania within their initial six month probationary period.
