Come join the DMVA team, apply today!In this role, you have the responsibility for the provision of benefits and services to Pennsylvania veterans by managing and maintaining a caseload of claims for veterans' benefits, services, and resources from the initial claims application through to the final determination of benefits.

Read the complete position description for more information.One year as a Veterans Services Specialist, DMVA;  or  

Five years of experience in analyzing and determining individuals' eligibility for public benefit programs, which included one year of experience with veterans' benefits and services programs;  or  

Three years of experience in analyzing and determining individuals' eligibility for public benefit programs, which included one year of experience with veterans' benefits and services programs, and an associate's degree in human services, business administration, public administration, or a related field;  or  

One year of experience in analyzing and determining individuals' eligibility for veterans' benefits and services programs, and a bachelor's degree in human services, business administration, public administration, or a related field;  or  

An equivalent combination of experience and training.
 
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Completion of military service in a branch of the United States Armed Forces and separation under honorable conditions. 
  • Possession of a valid PA Class 'C' Driver's License.
 
POST EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENT:
  • Valid accreditation by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as a veterans' service officer or eligibility for accreditation within one year from date of employment.
WORK SCHEDULE:
8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Monday - Friday
37.5 hours/week; 7.5 hours/day
Lunch Period: 45 Minutes
