Description This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer.For GS-12: In addition to basic education requirements, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer overseeing the design, manufacture, production, procurement, inspection, and installation of metallic piece parts, weldments, assemblies, forgings, and castings; and technical writing and the preparation of engineering reports and technical control documentation for metal material usage in systems or equipment.

For GS-11: In addition to basic education requirements, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer supporting the design, manufacture, production, inspection, and installation of metallic piece parts, weldments, assemblies, forgings, and castings. -OR-
Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position:***** Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:
  • A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR
  • Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR
  • An LL.M., if related to the position being filled; OR
  • A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
For GS-09: In addition to basic education requirements, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer reviewing engineering drawing sets addressing configuration, construction, materials, finishes, and tolerances to determine specifications for metal material usage in systems or equipment. -OR-
Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position:***** Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:
  • master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR
  • 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR
  • LL.B. or J.D., if related
