We are currently seeking an attorney to support our Retail Lending business, which includes auto loans, student loans, and personal loans and lines of credit, from product inception and marketing through the origination process, servicing, and default. These products are delivered to consumers and small business customers via PNC’s branch network and, increasingly, various digital channels including pnc.com.
Your primary responsibility will be to support all aspects of student lending. Additional responsibilities may include supporting a function, such as marketing, which spans products. You will work directly with PNC business personnel to review and advise on current business practices as well as new initiatives. You will also monitor developments in applicable law and assist with resolution of escalated customer issues. You will collaborate with other PNC lawyers and, as necessary, consult with outside counsel.
You will report to the Senior Managing Counsel for Retail Lending and be based in Pittsburgh or Cleveland.
- Identifies and manages legal risk for the organization.
- Conducts research, provides substantive and procedural legal advice, and participates in significant legal matters.
- Manages outside counsel relationships and expense.
- Reviews and prepares transactional and other legal documentation.

Work ExperienceRoles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry relevant experience is typically 8+ years. Specific certifications are often required.
