Description The Infrastructure and Economic Development Human Resource Delivery Center has an exciting opportunity for a self-driven and highly motivated individual to participate in a structured training program to assist in classification and organizational management support for assigned program areas within the Department of Transportation (PennDOT), Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), and/or Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA).

This position will train in and assist with classification and organization management activities for assigned organizations by performing classification work in the areas of management initiated reclassification requests, requests to fill vacancies, temporary working out of class, classification grievances, employee appeals, agency initiated actions, and job specification development or revision. Duties include reviewing position descriptions, researching historical files, and interviewing managers, supervisors, and employees to make recommendations regarding appropriate classifications for positions; assisting in the performance of desk audits for PennDOT, DCED, and/or PEMA employees; training in the preparation of technical classification reports that outline findings and recommendations; participating in classification grievance and employee appeal investigations; and assisting in providing technical classification and organizational management guidance to assigned organizations.

This position will serve as a highly valued member of the Infrastructure and Economic Development Human Resource Delivery Center supporting PennDOT, DCED, and PEMA efforts to provide excellent services to citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania!Qualifications:

  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements - A bachelor's degree, including 15 credit hours in public administration, business administration, or a
    related area. 
  • Must be able to perform essential job function
