Position Summary
Working from one of our Family Service Centers in Pennsylvania, the
Elementary
Assistant Principal
will work collaboratively with the school Principal. The Assistant Principal will manage various aspects of school operations. It is also anticipated that this individual will manage a range of special projects.
Essential Functions
Manage the implementation of the proven Commonwealth Charter Academy (CCA) operational protocols;
Oversee the daily requirements set forth in CCA School Handbook toward Escalation Requirements and Disciplinary procedures;
Supervise teachers on a regular basis and assist in their annual evaluation processes;
Communicate regularly with students, caretakers, and learning coaches;
Understand procedures in the handling of disciplinary issues associated with day to day operations;
Create reports to help oversee student accounting functions to include: attendance, maintenance and tracking;
Act as the human resources liaison for school staff in the areas of benefits, leave tracking and maintenance of local files;
Assist with recruiting and interviewing new staff;
Act as the technology liaison for teachers and administrative staff;
Monitor regulatory compliance and support preparation for legislative and financial audits in collaboration with the Manager of Internal Audits;
Monitor enrollment requirements and communicate to the Enrollment Department;
Provide state testing support to include: logistics for scheduling and tracking participation;
Support the Marketing Department with student outreach, marketing and public relations;
Research and remain current on the state’s policies, procedures and legislation;
Act as representative for the Local Education Agency for IEP meetings;
Monitor and support curriculum initiatives;
Assist with monitoring and maintaining effective and efficient Professional Learning Communities; and
Attend Field Trips located around the state of PA in order to foster deeper relationships with students and families

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role. Requires the ability to lift, squat, sit, bend or stand as necessary. Ability to travel to other sites/locations as needed.

Required Education and Experience
Must possess a valid PA K-12 Principal Certificate
Two years of related experience
Preferred Education and Experience
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
Some operational or logistics experience and/or administrative or management experience
Experience in managing people
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Valid PA Driver’s License
Appropriate Automobile Insurance Coverage
