  • Full-time employment (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Monday - Friday; 1 hour lunch period)
The employee coordinates and evaluates the state-wide hazardous waste corrective action work share program by serving as project manager, coordinating and approving all contractor-assisted work activities, reviewing and approving contractor-assisted work for completeness; preparing progress reports for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA); serving as liaison with EPA, other agencies and Department regional staff; coordinating and enforcing the Statewide Assurance Program for Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) permitted facilities; and providing hazardous waste program technical support, etc.
  • PA residency currently waived for this title
  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements - Two years of experience as a Solid Waste Specialist; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training which affords the applicant the required knowledges and abilities.
  • Necessary Special Requirement - Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license.
  • Based on your answers to the supplemental application questions regarding education, you may be instructed to upload a copy of your college transcripts, to your application. If you are provided directions to upload transcripts during the application process but you cannot currently obtain them due to the temporary educational institution closures, please upload the official response from your institution regarding your request.  In addition, if asked to provide transcripts for specific coursework, e.g., 12 credits in social science, you may upload a list of completed courses you believe are qualifying in place of the transcripts.  The list must include the name of the school(s), course titles completed with a passing grade, and number of credits for each course.  Once you receive a copy of your transcripts, you may send the document(s) and the specific job title and job number to which you applied to ra-cs-documents@pa.gov.  If selected for a position, you may be required to provide an official transcript to verify educational requirements.
