Torrance State Hospital is looking for Semi-Skilled Laborers to complete manual work in the form of construction, building maintenance and grounds maintenance. Duties include working on special projects, working with various specialty shops to make minor repairs, and performing all types of grounds maintenance. Must be willing to work in various weather conditions, be able to work on ladders and at times in tight spaces. We are looking for motivated, energetic and positive individuals who have the ability to work independently. We strive to provide a well-maintained environment for our residents, staff and visitors. 1st Shift - 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
37.5 hour work week - Monday through Friday
May be required to work overtime based on operational needs.
Position is non-permanent full-time. Employment period is expected to be approximately 6 months.

Meet Pennsylvania residency requirements.
Be able to perform essential job functions.
Maintain a Valid Class C Driver's License
Multiple positions may be filled.
Based upon the nature of the duties in the position description, the individual selected for this position may be required to annually disclose specific personal and business financial information in accordance with Management Directive 205.10 regarding Financial Disclosures Required by the Public Official and Employee Ethics Act.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
Commonwealth employment requirement:
A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination.
