This is a TERM Position NTE 13 months and can be extended up to 4years.
This is a Direct Hire Authorization Announcement.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Electrical Worker without more than normal supervision. Have the ability to perform common duties of an Electrical Worker. Perform common tasks including bending and installing conduit, installing boxes and fixtures, and pulling wire using basic hand and power tools such as measuring tapes, conduit benders, pliers, screw drivers, drills while assisting the journeyman Electrician; and keeping parts and tools storage cabinets properly arranged and maintaining current inventories. Work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

  • Ability To Do The Work Of The position Without More Than Normal Supervision
  • Physical Effort Work frequently requires the handling of parts and assemblies weighing from 10 to 40 pounds, and occasionally objects weighing in excess of 40 pounds. Duties require frequent bending, stooping, standing, climbing and working in cramped positions.
  • Working Conditions Work is done both indoors and outside, and is usually dirty, dusty, and greasy. Duties sometimes require being outside in bad weather and in work areas that are noisy. Exposed to soiling of hands and clothing, and to the possibility of cuts, bruises, broken bones, electrical shock, and burns.
