Northumberland County Behavioral Health & Intellectual Developmental Program is seeking motivated, caring and dependable people to work with children, adolescents and adults in full time positions as a County Caseworker 1.
Work schedule: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Lunch Period: 30 Minutes
Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Northumberland County. If no eligible candidates who live within Northumberland County apply for this position, candidates who reside in Columbia, Snyder, Montour, Union or Schuylkill counties will be considered.Provide casework services to individuals and members of their families to help them in achieving a more satisfactory adjustment to their specific problems or situations. This includes maintaining close contact with individuals, families, and service providers in order to evaluate and document treatment being provided and progress in meeting identified goals of treatment. Link individuals with appropriate community resources and advocate for resource services delivery. Also work collaboratively with social agencies, hospitals, clinics, courts and other community resources.

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
