The Prescription Drug Monitoring Program is seeking an experienced Public Health professional to support the Program's mission to reduce diversion and misuse of controlled substances in Pennsylvania.

In this position, you will support the effectiveness of the Pennsylvania Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) by ensuring adherence of medical professionals to all aspects of the PDMP, while identifying potential areas of program inefficiencies and developing plans for quality improvement.

As a Public Health Program Administrator, you will independently manage the implementation and administration of the PDMP's compliance activities and the evaluation of program activities. As a representative of the PDMP, you will interact with agency officials, other government agencies and licensing boards, medical providers, and pharmacies to ensure program compliance. Additionally, you will serve as the Project Officer on grants and contracts relating to the program's effectiveness and the implementation of activities related to electronic prescribing of controlled substances.
This position provides technical information to support a complex, focused, high visibility public health program and coordinates activities. Experience in data collection, analysis, and interpretation are strongly preferred.

- Minimum Experience and Training Requirements - One year as a Public Health
Program Assistant Administrator; OR a bachelor's degree and two years of professional public health, health, allied health sciences, drug and alcohol or related experience; OR a bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health, or health related services; OR an associate's degree in allied health sciences or nursing and four years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health, or health related services; OR six years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health, or health related services; OR a master's degree in public health, health services administration, health care
administration, health education, public health administration, public
administration, nursing, epidemiology, social work, nutrition, hospital
administration, physical therapy, occupational therapy, business administration,
or education and one year of professional experience in the development or
evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social,
employment, environmental health, or health related services.
