Work Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (M-F) with a 30 minute lunch
This is an entry-level Caseworker position with a reduced caseload and increased supervision and oversight. The primary responsibility of this position is the provision of direct service to a caseload of families.
Direct service includes, but is not limited to, the performance and provision of specific services such as, conducting assessments/investigations; case management; placement of children into foster homes; supportive counseling to children and their families; assistance in specialized areas such as home and money management, child rearing, employment, and living arrangements for children and adolescents; and case specific coordination and advocacy including making referrals to increase effectiveness of services. The majority of the work is conducted during home visits or in community settings.
The employee in this position will participate in county training program and formal training leading to caseworker certification. Position may require working beyond the regular workday to meet the needs of families.

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
